Mice Busters

Whiskton pulls on his mice mitts, grabs the cheese saber, and peanut butter power globes before he entered their new home. With The Wand at his side, what could go wrong?

The door swings open with a long creak, and a soft dull thud as it reached the wall. The Wand was so keyed up with anticipation that he was startled by the sound. In a nervous reaction, he emitted a small spark of energy right at the peanut butter power globe. Exploding it into million particles of slimy matter all over the entrance way.
Whiskton gives a hard side glance at The Wand. Wondering at that moment if it might have been better to have left him at home. A flashlight might have been a better companion given the night's only source of light, that of the full moon above.

Quite in the distance within the home, began the soft sounds of little feet scurrying across wood floors. The sound grew louder until Whiskton could feel the floor itself shake. Trying his best to keep his balance and remain standing, he drops the cheese saber. The shaking stops while he watched his cheese saber roll well into the home. Both Whiskton and The Wand stared into the dark room. A single pair of glowing eyes peered back at them. "There it is!" The only words either of them would say, as the one pair of eyes became two, then ten, then one hundred, then a billion.

Whiskton and The Wand took one look at each other before Whiskton turned running like the wind away from the home. His mice mitts waving madly in the air as he went. The Wand flittered to and fro sending out an occasional bursts of sparks doing his best to keep pace with his friend. Behind them, the massive herd of mice crying in unison; "Great leader, Great leader!"

On the far roadside, a car starts, then proceeds to the home. Molly had been waiting in the car for the promised signal. She stepped into the home took in a breath and said; "Clean at last". Turned, then closed and locked the front door.
